Rate Card


This rate card is valid from 1 January 2012. Our fees for the use of our facilities are designed to be affordable whilst ensuring that we can continue to provide the best open access facilities in the northeast. To use the facilities you must be a member of DMG. Concessionary rates are for students, pensioners, and those out of work. Check out our membership and session fees below:

Joining DMG

To use DMG’s facilities, you need to join the coop. This costs just £10 a year for individuals and community organisations.

General Workshop Facility rates as of 1st January 2011

All DMG members are able to use the facilities in the main workshop free of charge. However, groups of more than three people will need to advance book the workshop*. Materials are charged at the following rates:

 Macs, Scanner & Internet Access in General Workshop  FREE
 Burning DVDs; CDs  £1; 50p
A4 colour prints including clay coated matt paper  £2.50
 A3 colour prints including clay coated matt paper  £5
 Bring your own papers, pay for ink costs only – A3; A4  £2.40; £1.20
 A4 laser prints – monochrome; colour per side  10p; 75p
 Tuition fees – per hour  £25

DMG has a set of Panasonic digital cameras, as well as a DV video camera and mini-disc sound recorder. These are available to members for community projects. Please discuss your needs with Jason. (dmg@mediaworkshop.org.uk or 07952 993789)

Darkroom

PLEASE NOTE SOME DARKROOM FACILITIES ARE CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE AS WE SORT OUT A NEW HOME FOR THEM

Professional Facilities – Large Format Archival Print; Video/Sound Edit Suite

Epson 7800 A1 Printer: Charged per print, depending on print sizes. A 36″ x 24″ print typically costs about £12.

The following rates are for funded or commercial projects. If you are working on non-funded projects, please discuss your needs with the Workshop Manager, Paul Dillon.
